Truksvy is located in the quaint Free State village of Soutpan. This village is half an hour's drive from Bloemfontein. Truksvy offers 2 units called Truksvy and Sonneblom. The units each have a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The kitchenettes are each equipped with a microwave, a bar fridge and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Each room has a fan, air conditioning, a TV with OVHD channels and a braai area.

The Standard Bunk unit is available for backpackers and also has a kitchen area with a microwave, kettle, bar fridge and a braai area for the unit. The Truksvy Coffee Sjop is on-site, where guests can enjoy light meals or a farmers' buffet on Sundays. It is also here where guests can get some of the local salt and gifts.

Nearby attractions include the Soetdoring Dam Nature Reserve, Florisbad and the salt pans. Guests can take a tour of the salt pans with a tractor and wagon. Tour bookings can be done at Turksvy Koffie Sjop at extra cost.
