Selkirk House is a bright contemporary guesthouse located in a safe and quiet part of Hermanus, against a fynbos-covered mountain slope with sweeping views of Walker Bay. 

The house is situated close to the 27-hole golf course and a mere 5-minute drive from the village centre. Multi-level indoor spaces are complemented by water-featured landscaped gardens. The interiors are spacious and luxurious, with the décor echoing the colours of surrounding nature.  Guests have access to several communal outdoor spaces, including a pool deck with a splash pool, a mountain-facing courtyard with gently cascading waterfalls, comfortably furnished sea-view balconies, and a rooftop deck with 360° views.    

Both communal lounges have modern gas fireplaces while the lounge on the top floor is also equipped with a 60” plasma tv with a full bouquet of DStv channels. Property facilities include a splash pool, a temperature-controlled wine cellar, 24-hour-monitored parking for 5 vehicles, a library with a desktop computer, and a BBQ area.  

Selkirk House offers 5 spacious bedrooms with king extra length beds or single beds – sleeps 10 + guide room available. Rooms 1 & 2 (top floor) can be used as a family room (unit) - interleading Each fully automated air-conditioned room is equipped with a mini-safe, a hairdryer, a well-stocked bar fridge, and a coffee and tea station with a variety of teas and an Espresso machine. The en-suite bathrooms have a bath as well as a shower, twin washbasins, heated towel rails, and underfloor heating. 

Regrettably, no children under 12 years of age are allowed.
