New Song has two cottages set in a tranquil garden separate from the main house. Each cottage has its own entrance and veranda. The accommodation arrangement is open plan, except for the bathroom which closes off from the main bedroom.

Each cottage sleeps two, double beds are fitted with electric blankets for winter. Due to our extreme temperatures in Montagu, we have aircon in both units, as well as fans should that be your preference.

The kitchenettes are fully equipped. Our bathrooms have showers only. We have migrated to green energy so no loadshedding during your stay. Uncapped Wi-Fi(fibre connectivity) ensures that you are always connected. Parking is secure, free off-street parking.

The charming, historical village of Montagu is within walking distance from New Song. The nearest hiking challenge starts 180m from our property. Montagu is known for its adventure tourism and the hiking and rock-climbing gem of the Langeberg. Mountain biking trails cater for novices, the moderately fit as well as the more hard-core riders. For the more laid-back, enjoy the world-famous tractor ride into the Langeberg, a gentle self-guided historical walk through the village (or book a guide) or explore with one of the Dutch bikes from Flying Fleet.

If you spread your wings a little outside of town, you can visit some of the famous wine cellars or book a barge trip on the Breede River. Montagu has some fine dining restaurants and many quaint coffee shops.Avi tourism is taking off in the region as the dramatic mountains and Fynbos vegetation has many endemic and near-endemic species for the keen birder.
