Meerkatsgat is located on a working farm a mere 8 km from the small town of Jan Kempdorp and 18 km from Hartswater. The guest house is located near the N18 highway and 100 km from Kimberley Airport.

Accommodation is provided in 3 self-catering units, 2 semi-self-catering units, and 2 en-suite rooms. All units have braai facilities and kitchenettes with basic self-catering facilities that include a bar fridge, a microwave, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and crockery. Some units are equipped with TVs and air-conditioners. Braai packets and wood are available at an additional cost.

All meals are available on request by prior arrangement with the establishment. Secure on-site parking is provided for all guests. The farm is fenced around with electric fencing.
