Please note:  a Minimum stay of two nights is required. During school holidays, long weekends, and our peak season (December to the end of January), swops are very limited, but you’re welcome to enquire on short notice to see if we have availability. We generally prefer swops between May and August.

De Kleine Prince is our lovingly curated hideaway in Prince Albert, on the edge of the Swartberg and the wide-open Klein Karoo. We’re a boutique, multi-house property designed for slow mornings on the stoep, star sprinkled nights, and that rare feeling of being truly looked after. Think classic Victorian bones, contemporary comfort, and a garden that breathes Karoo calm—kept lush by the town’s historic leiwater tradition.

While the property accommodates up to ten guests in total, only the Garden Suite is available to Swop and Stay guests.

Every space is thoughtfully equipped: hotel-quality linen, super-fast Wi-Fi, proper work-nooks for remote days, well-stocked kitchens, and details that make stays feel intuitive (clear SOPs for housekeeping, a plant-care rhythm, and simple guides that keep everything effortless). Outside, you’ll find shaded stoeps, a braai area, and pockets of garden to wander with morning coffee or an evening glass of something local.

Location-wise, you’re on Prince Albert’s main road—stroll to coffee roasteries, artisan bakeries, galleries, and farm stalls. We share a handpicked “Taste the Karoo” guide so you can plan dinners, tastings, and scenic drives. Prefer to stay in? We can help arrange charcuterie boards, firewood, and small touches that elevate a night at home.
